Anya Taylor-Joy

Allya Taylor Joy was born April 16 1996, in Miami Florida. She is half English half Spanish. Her parents were Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father is an Argentine of Scottish as well as English descent. Her mother is Spanish with English roots. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's ex-married partners. The family lived in Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria region of London. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatizing and she did not learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she switched from Northlands. Then she went to Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. Then she dropped out of the high school aged 16 to pursue an acting career. Taylor-Joy's ambition to become an actor began in the early years of her life. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the very first model to hire her as a professional model.
