Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A superstar who crossed over completely from the world of country music to pop culture, turning into the pop icon of the future that will be around forever, and will conquer every corner of the globe. Swift left her country roots as though they were part of her skin, revealing she was perhaps the savviest popular singer/songwriter in her generation one that could tap into the zeitgeist make it personal and also perform opposite. These skills were evident on her early hits including the Neo-Tribute Tim McGraw but her second album, 2008's Fearless showed a writer discovering who she was and, in doing so, gaining the mass market. Fearless was successful not only in the United States, having six platinum-certified singles. The Top Ten songs Love Story and You Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. It also performed exceptionally well throughout the world. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago, consolidated her prior popularity and launched Swift into the spotlight. Through her next three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017), her popularity increased and she found herself in the world of pop music in which it became clear she was a part of. The popularity of her music grew after she changed her strategy in 2020's more streamlined siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed atop of the pop world.
